CENTURY 21 Canada is extremely pleased to announce its 2007 Franchisee of the Year: CENTURY 21 Westman.com Ltd. in Brandon, MB. The award was announced at the 2008 CENTURY 21 Canadian Conference in Ottawa, ON.
L-R: CEO U. Gary Charlwood, CENTURY 21 Westman.com Ltd. owners Ray Brownlee, Bill Crossman and Maurice Torr, and CENTURY 21 Canada President Don Lawby.
Consistently in the Top 21 Offices by both Units and Production and a long-time CENTURION® and Double CENTURION® Office, CENTURY 21 Westman.com Ltd. has been with the CENTURY 21 System since 1978. Owner Ray Brownlee calls the award "a very big honour-we were happy even to be nominated. We are sincerely honoured to be part of the organization and to be recognized by our peers."
Brownlee attributes the win partly to the "good quality young people coming into the business and succeeding quickly." Each new CENTURY 21 Westman.com Ltd. sales representative is put through the CREATE 21 Canada program. Brownlee personally coaches each new agent one-on-one for an hour per week, and then tailors individual meetings to each sales representative's needs. Experienced sales representatives "welcome, help and nurture new people along," he says. "We've tried to emulate the CENTURY 21 Canada model," continues Brownlee, "because it's a very open door atmosphere where all people in the system are treated equally."
Brownlee is quick to credit the entire office: "We have a great team here," he insists. "It's one of the best teams we have ever had. It's an award given to all of us as an office."
Franchisee of the Year is awarded based on a number of criteria, including number of years with the CENTURY 21 System; sales volume; growth; participation in fundraising and marketing initiatives; attendance at Canadian and Management Conferences; nominations from brokers and sales representatives; and participation with the local broker council.
