Home Sweet Home Show

This time last year, the aisles of the National Home Show in Toronto were crowded with renovators and other contractors promoting the Home Renovation Tax Credit (HRTC) - the federal government's boost to get Canadians fixing up their homes to help the renovation/contractor industry during a flagging economy.

This year, the scene will likely be different when home shows come to your town, since the HRTC expires at the end of this month. Of course, that doesn't mean you should stop renovating; the return on investment on improving your biggest asset - your home - makes sense any time.

We've accrued a list of some home shows across Canada - listed here in chronological order - in this the season to get inspired by interiors, gardens and decor trends.

  • No BC Home + Garden Show this year; will be March 2011 Show at the new Vancouver Convention Centre

If you know of any other home shows, please add them in the comments section below.
