The hamlet of Alder Flats is located within the County of Wetaskiwin and situated 30 min south of Drayton Valley and 30 minutes north of Rocky Mountain House on Hwy 13, off of Hwy 22.  This quaint hamlet  is named after the trees in the area. Em-Te Town, the local privately built ghost town, offers a look back to a frontier town. Enjoy horseback riding and sleigh rides, or dwell in the great outdoors at campsites and cabins available in the area. Alder Flats is generally known as a small farming community in Alberta's beautiful west country.

As a past time I enjoy spending time canoeing. This summer I spent 2 weeks canoeing the Okanagan Lakes. Myself and 120 other members of the Voyageur Brigade Society were very exhilerated to have to opportunity to canoe in such beautiful surroundings.
