Greenfield Real Estate Listings and Information
In the years that followed World War II, Edmonton experienced considerable growth. Returning veterans started families, the baby boom got underway and the discovery of several major oilfields surrounding the city were all contributing factors to a tremendous increase in the city’s population. As a consequence, the demand for housing units increased dramatically. People were interested in subdivisions with large lots arranged in crescents and cul-desacs. Newer styles of housing, schools, recreational facilities and relatively homogeneous land use were also important. Greenfield is a neighbourhood that met these needs. Single detached houses are the major structure type in Greenfield. Most are of above average size and face quiet curvilinear streets.
