This year is the 50th anniversary of the annual Trail Silver City days and festivities start off tomorrow in downtown Trail. I realized just now that I've actually been here in Trail for half of the lifespan of this event. Suddenly seems more momentous somehow. I also realized that I've been to my fair share of them and it's fun to check it out no matter what age you are. When our son was small ... Read More...

Canada AM was on scene for a live broadcast to our fellow Canadians out east. The Ice bar sculptures were taking shape, real works of art.  If you don't know Rosslanders let me share this with you, my wife Lori and I got downtown at around 4am and the first person we ran ... Just have to share a memory of Haida Gwaii. 21 years ago today, my ready to deliver wife and I were on the deck of the inter island ferry MV Kwuna very late at night, the island nurse had roused the off duty crew to make the ship ready to sail. In the black of night a short trip seemed like forever, the ambulance crew was waiting on the dock at Skidegate, there was no time for a transfer so I drove ... Read More...
