Nopiming Provincial Park Real Estate Listings and Information
Nopiming Provincial Park is a provincial park in Manitoba, Canada. It is located on the southeast side of the province, along the border with Ontario. The area is mostly boreal forest and Canadian Shield with many lakes and rivers. There are a few gravel roads through the park, camping facilites, hiking trails and a few cottages. The area is very remote and the most southern heard of woodland caribou can be found here. The park's name comes from the Anishinaabe word noopiming, meaning "in the woods/brush" or "entrance to the Wilderness".
Park Directions From Winnipeg, follow PTH 59 north to PTH 44, east to PTH 11, north to PR 313, east to PR 315 leading to Bird Lake at the south end of the park. PR 314, just inside the park, takes you north through the park. www.gov.mb.ca
