This past weekend, July 8th to 10th, over 2000 beautifully buffed, polished and pampered vehicles came once to Moncton once again.  My wife and I try to take an extended lunch hour on Friday to take advantage of all the cars being displayed on Main St.  They shut down a portion of Main St. all day Friday and park the cars all along road and people just mill about.  It's great ... Construction and Expansion

Museum expansion gets money from province

Allan Dearing - StaffAug 21, 2012 15:54:14 PM

MONCTON, N.B. - The provincial government is investing one million dollars in the construction of the Transportation Discovery Centre, an expansion of the Moncton Museum.
The centre will highlight the region's transportation history, from shipbuilding to the railroad, and trucking to air travel.
Deputy mayor Merrill Henderson says this project has been a long time coming.
"It's been well over 13 years since we first started talking about this."
The city, the federal government, and a fundraising campaign are also contributing towards the $9.2-million cost.
The current museum and the expansion will bring the total space to 31-thousand square feet and is expected to open next summer.
