Rib Fest – Rib fest is a gathering to showcase different chef’s ribs. Many gather to eat their hearts out and watch live bands perform. The event is weekend long and is family friendly.

 

Belleville Water Front & Ethnic Festival – Free admission family event with musical acts, kid friendly activities, and cultural performers.

 

Party In the Square – Party in The Square is hosted in the Market Square in Downtown Belleville, and is a night event with live bands and dancing. It runs in the evening after The Rotary loves Kids Golf Tournament in July.

 

Quinte Expedition – The Quinte Expedition is a family fair that runs for a week in Belleville, with rides, games, food, and entertainment.

Rotary Loves Kids Golf Tournament – The Rotary Club of Belleville's fund raiser to benefit the kids of Quinte. Golfers also enjoy dinner and the 'Party in the Square' event downtown Belleville.

 

Big Music Fest – Big Music Fest is held every year in Zwicks Park and hosts multiple bands for a full day of music in the park.

 

Empire Square Rock Fest – The Rock Fest is run at Empire Square in Downtown Belleville and is generally three weekends in a row with 3 main acts.

 

 

Schools

 

Belleville is home to many diverse schools in every area of the city. Bussing is provided to those within proper range of the school. As well as a wide array of public schools that host IB, French Immersion, and Arts programs, Belleville also hosts Catholic and Christian learning, and private schools such as Albert College and the Quinte Ballet School of Canada. Belleville is also home to Loyalist College, a great post-secondary school.

 

Family Friendly

 

Belleville and its surrounding areas have many family friendly opportunities for outings and events. Some locations include Galaxy Cinemas, The Mustang Drive-In (PEC), Your Family Restaurant (great for breakfast and lunch), YMCA of Belleville, Kiwanis Skateboard Park, Batawa Ski Hill and The George St Boat Launch (canteen near a boat launch and trail). Belleville and surrounding areas also host events such as Belleville Bulls games at The Yardmen Arena, Free Concerts in Fraser Park, Quinte Expedition, Rib Fest, and The Water Front & Ethnic Festival.

 

Arts in Quinte

 

Arts (Empire Theatre, Belleville Theatre Guild Pinnacle Playhouse, Arts galleries)

Belleville has many local artists, performers, and artisans. In addition, it is home to art galleries such as ReVue Design and Gallery ArtPlus, and Gallery One-Twenty-One (In the Public Library building). If you’re in the mood for live theatre, Belleville Theatre Guild Pinnacle Playhouse offers different shows from September-May. The trend still seems that sales are down just a small margin over last year.  the government has set stricter guidelines for lending.  Is this part of the issue with lack of sales or are people being cautious.  The most sales still seem to be in the $150,000 - 260,000 range.  This is still a very affordable area to live in and there is always some movement.
