Welcome to Ontario's playground!  The City of Kawartha Lakes is a beautiful region of lakes, rivers, and rolling countryside located just north of the GTA.  It is unique in many ways with its medley of interconnected villiages along the Trent Severn Waterway.  With a population of 74,561 and a land area of 3,059 square kilometers it is larger than the european country of Luxembourg with a 5th of its population.

The City of Kawartha Lakes has over 200 lakes and rivers for you to explore along with dozens of great towns, villiages, and communities, offering a wide variety of experiences and amenities.  Our largest center is the town of Lindsay with a population of over 20,000 and centrally located within a comfortable driving distance from all of our communities.  Other noteable villiages are Bobcaygeon, Fenelon Falls, Coboconk, Norland, Woodville, Oakwood, Little Britain, Kirkfield, Omemee, Dunsford, Bethany, Pontypool, and Kinmount.  All of these villages have many unique quailities, landscapes, populations, and experiences.  We would encourage to read the following blogs and discover for yourself "Ontario's Playground" the City of Kawartha Lakes!  We look forward to meeting you.

These are some of the other questions I asked myself about each belonging I am determining whether to keep, discard or donate: When I see it, does it lift my spirits? Or does it carry memories of a time best forgotten? Does it have a practical use, today? Or maybe, it was once useful and I think perhaps someday it may be useful again?
