On the shores of Larder Lake, easily commutable from Kirkland Lake. It is located along Highway 66 and Highway 624 at the north-western part of the lake bearing the same name. In 1936, a large gold deposit was discovered in Larder Lake, leading to the establishment of several productive mines. The area is ideal for hiking, boating and snowmobiling. A municipal complex includes a community centre, municipal administration offices, public library, and senior’s club along with a youth activity centre. Abundant array of wildlife roam here such as: moose, black bears, foxes and plentiful fish.
