Heritage Has Heart
Sales representatives and staff of Century 21 Heritage Group Ltd. participated in the Big Bike for The Heart and Stroke Foundation in a Heritage Has Heart campaign this past June 2011.
With two bikes riding out in Newmarket on Saturday June 18th and Bradford on Tuesday June 21st 58 riders set out pedalling. Altogether participating teams at both events rose over $20, 000 dollars towards heart health.
Newmarket and Bradford put their heart into helping when volunteers donated their time into fundraising and participating in the Big Bike event. Captains Sue Philips of Newmarket and Louise Martinheira of Bradford recruited eager members.
With a lot of enthusiasm and excitement Newmarket raised 2, 420 dollars and of nine teams participating in Bradford, the Century 21 Heritage Group Ltd. bike raised the most on their event day with 2, 702 dollars in fundraising money. With top fundraisers Corinne Doyle of Newmarket and Lisa Fedele of Bradford, both bikes and its participants made a substantial contribution. Heritage Has Heart teams in Newmarket and Bradford were not only top fundraisers but also came out above the rest for demonstrating the highest level of excitement and enthusiasm earning them team spirit awards which will be presented to them at an awards ceremony to follow.
