This weekend is the 43rd Unionville Festival, which celebrates the rich heritage, culture and community of this historic area. The fun-filled event, which runs along Main Street Unionville from Friday, June 1, to Sunday, June3, never fails to draw large crowds every year.
One of the biggest highlights of the festival will be the Unionville Festival Parade, the largest parade in York Region. It will commence at 10am and will feature pipe bands, marching bands, animated clowns and colourful floats. Also in Saturday's itinerary is a beautiful fireworks display at Toogood pond at dusk.
There will be various Bandstand performances featuring local student bands throughout the weekend and many fun activities, including canoeing, races, pet contests, a 'beer garden,' treasure hunts, golf, hot-air balloon rides and lots more. Don't miss this popular event!
