Late start to the Spring Market!

Is it just me, or did the spring market just start to take off this month? Typically, the statistics show that the activity starts to increase by the end of March. Well in the past, that was true for me. However, this year it started late. Anyone else experiencing the same? Somehow I think mother nature has something to do with it this year!

Tips for Cleaning and Decluttering

Sort it out, be ruthless. The Keep/Donate/Toss piles that you see on every home organization show on TV really work. If the item doesn't fit, is damaged or if you haven't worn it in the last year, do not return it to the closet. If in doubt, return all hanging items to the closet with the hanger turned the wrong way. If those hangers are still turned around in 6 months, donate or toss.
Organize closets, storage rooms and other areas such as laundry rooms - - Keep, Toss and Donate piles
Remove all personal possessions
Remove excess furniture to give your home a spacious look
Declutter and Clean all kitchen and bathroom cabinets and neatly organize items on shelves
Remove appliances from kitchen counters to give a look of spaciousness
Keep bookshelves and entertainment units to a minimum amount of items
Clean and declutter entryway - create a great first impression for the buyer
Remove clutter from front and back of house
Make stairwells and corridors clutter free
Hire a professional to thoroughly clean the interior and exterior of the home
Clean all carpets and area rugs

Market is starting to even out

If you're a Seller thinking about selling - now might NOT be the right time lol

It appears that Jan, Feb, Mar and April were slower months than in the previous year. Not as hot as everyone thought or expected. The good news is that homes in great condition and good prices are still selling very quickly just not the crazy bidding wars of a year ago or even earlier this year.
