Uptown Ridgeway has boutique shops, restaurants & cafes, pharmacies, banking and churches, etc. The new town centre is complete with pavilion and fun splash pad/fountain for the kids to play in. A local farmer's market is located along The Friendship Trail and Ridge Road on Saturday mornings during the growing season. Additional shopping and conveniences can be found on Gorham Road and Dominion Road.


Ridgeway Fest runs the second weekend in July every year in the downtown area of Ridge Road.  Ridgeway Fall Festival at the Farmer's Market (mid October) The Spirit of Christmas (Dicken's Style Open House) runs uptown (end of NOV early December) complete with horse drawn carriage rides, children's school choirs and Victorian dressed carollers.


Ridgeway has its own public library branch, Crystal Ridge arena/ Community Centre and parks. Local football teams enjoy the Crystal Ridge Community Park located behind the arena and little ones can play on the new splash area in the summer. Downtown residents enjoy the totally refurbished Lion’s Park on Elm and Park Street with 2 new soccer fields, new playground equipment, 2 multi-purpose courts (tennis/hockey/basketball) and newly planted trees. The Friendship Trail runs through downtown connecting to Port Colborne and Fort Erie.


Ridgeway Public (grades JK-4), Bertie Public (grades 5 -8) and Ridgeway Crystal Beach High School (grades 9 -12). All 3 schools are centrally located near downtown and many children can walk to and from school.


Downtown core– Larger character homes on tree lined streets with a mixture of some modern homes. Village By The Trail (newer townhouses right downtown). These homes are walking distance to many local amenities and schools. New townhouses are under construction on Prospect Point near Dominion Road.

New sub-divisions include: Prospect Point Village (single detached homes), Ridgeway By the Lake with a mixture of single detached homes and townhouses complete with their own Algonquin clubhouse and Bay Ridge Crossing (single detached homes). Minutes to downtown.

The Thunder Bay area has a mixture of newer houses and cottages, (some winterized and updated) in a quiet country setting. These homes are located a few minutes drive to town. Summer cottagers and locals spend their summer days at the public sandy beaches at Bernard and Thunder Bay Roads. Residents benefit from the use of the Bill Connelly Field located at Hyman & Neva Road and the paved Friendship Trail for walking and biking.
