 Wainfleet, which was called Marshville in the 1800's, has a population of 6000. and is an agricultural community made up of many farms, greenhouses & other family run businesses.

Activities:

Wainfleet is best known for the Marshville Heritage Festival which takes place every Labour Day Weekend at the Heritage Village site. The Fesitval is a flurry of activities consisting of crafters, food vendors, farm demonstrations, antique car show, war reinactment, wagon rides, blacksmith & sawmill and much more. It is a weekend for the entire family.  The Heritage Village is made up of restored  buildings from Wainfleet and nearby towns and is open to the public year round.

Wainfleet also has a Fall Fair in September.  The arena is always active with minor hockey.  There is also a soccer field, ball diamonds & tennis courts.

Schools & Churches:

Public & catholic schools are right in town along  with several churches of different denominations.

Amenities:

Town Hall, Marshville Chocolates, Minor Bros. Feed Mill, and the Firehall  make up the core of the downtown.  Port Colborne is only about 5 miles away where you will find major big box stores for all your shopping needs.

Wainfleet is situated only 2 miles from Lake Erie where you'll find Long Beach.  In the summer it is bustling with activity where there are many seasonal cottages and year round homes.
