Lac Bataille Real Estate Listings and Information
Lac Bataille is the highest lake in a chain of fourteen making it the first source of water that feeds the system. The water is amazing — spring fed, crystal clean, sweet to the taste (some locals drink it), silky on the skin, deep (reaching 280+ feet), and fed by warm springs. It is stocked annually with delicious rainbow trout. Small-mouth bass and the very rare blue trout are also found here.
Lac Bataille and its larger sister-lake, Lac Rheaume, are the principal lakes in an area known as Perkins-sur-le-Lac. Easily accessible year-round from Ottawa/Gatineau via Hwy 50 and Route 366 (boul Lorraine), many cottages are used year-round and residents commute daily to the city giving them the best of both worlds. The growing village of Perkins is nearby where you will find banking, grocery, hardware and fuel retailers.
Nearby lakes include Lac Maskinonge, Lac Barnes, Lac Noir and Lac Corrigan.
