The story begins in the municipality, about 150 years ago.The territory of Saint-Alexandre was one of three manors: the manor of Sabrevois, Bleury and that of Monnoir. It is from1820 that the first lands were granted by the Lords.
With a population of about 2370 habitants, situated just minutes from Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu, our regional capital, Saint-Alexandre, covers an area over 75 square kilometers with over 90% is spent for agricultural production.
It is a young and dynamic city full of young families! Primary school filled with about 350 student .Lot of activities and entertainment are offered.
Library ,post office, fire station, convenience store and gas station are present in the municipality.
