As a Real Estate Consultant, helping people is not a means to an end. There is a deep enjoyment in doing what I do. There is no excessive desire to achieve, and yet I actually achieve more. My world is full of new people to meet, new friends to make, new crowds to mingle in. In my world there are no strangers, only friends I haven't met yet - lots of them. I have made best friends out of people that I have met passing in the doorway. Meeting people is part of who I am.

My positive outlook makes me generous with praise, quick to smile, and always on the lookout for the positive in the situation. The world looks better around me because my enthusiasm is contagious. I try to find a way to lighten your spirit. I inject drama into every project. I celebrate every achievement. I find ways to make everything more exciting and more vital. I am rarely dragged down. My positivity won't allow it. Somehow I can't quite escape my conviction that it is good to be alive, that work can be fun, and that no matter what the setbacks, one must never lose one's sense of humor.

Personal Background

I was born and grew up in Pembroke, Ontario in the upper Ottawa Valley. I moved to Toronto for post-secondary education. Here I met my wife, Cindy (a native of Toronto) and we got married in 1979. Starting a family made us aware of the need to provide a wholesome place for our daughters Jessie and Megan to grow up so we decided to move to the family friendly town of Vernon, BC in 1990 where we have enjoyed making friends and all this area has to offer.

Professional Background

My training and the bulk of my work career (since 1975) was spent in computer systems application software design and development. I specialized in financial and general business adminstration programs.

From there, I developed a hunger for a better understanding of other aspects of business and more involvement with people. I became a student of marketing in 1997 and proceeded to try different applications of my sales and marketing training working in radio sales and marketing, general insurance, printing and graphics and accounting.

I have come to realize that working as a real estate professional is the ultimate expression of my passions that combine my sales and marketing experience with my love of working with people.

Personal Interests

I love my family and I love music. My darling wife Cindy and I have been married since May 5, 1979. Our eldest daughter, Jessica, was born in 1983 and our second daughter, Megan was born in 1987. These 3 girls are at the center of my life. They give reason to everything I do. We each share in the joy of being witnesses to each other's lives. We are the best of friends.

I sing and play a variety of instruments and enjoy exploring many genres of music including bluegrass, folk, country and rock. I have performed semi-professionally throughout the Pacific Northwest for over 10 years.
