New Trails In Upper Mission

Speaking of parks in the last post, looks like they have also begun to make the trails in the new area of Village Heights At The Ponds in Upper Mission.  Right outside my front door I can see a bobcat clearing and making a nice wide trail up in the mountains.  The plan is to link existing and future residents to amenities in the community.  Phase one has been developed which links The Ponds to access Kuiper Peak Park.

One trail will provide an extension to the existing Powerline Park in The Quarry and Southbridge neighbourhoods.  Another one is being built from the corner of Frost Road and Steele Road, heading north past the future school site and throught the City Park site.  This will also provide access to the City's Bellevue Creek Linear Park system.

A third and more discrete nature trail is to be built connecting the end of the sidewalk on Elderberry Street up the slope to Hill Spring.

Has anyone been on these trails yet?  I know I'm looking forward to using them and exploring the area a bit more, so I'll see you out there!
