The last month represented the fifth consecutive month that home sales in the region reached a monthly high. We had a total of 416 residential sales last month, a jump of nearly 64 percent compared to January 2009.
This year was a totally different start than last year. There is a real demand in the market right now.
The higher price ranges has great numbers last month, with a total of 54 homes selling for more than $400,000 compared with only 22 sales a year before.
Overall, the average sale price of all residential properties sold last month rose 12.6 percent. Single detached homes sold for an average price of 312,339, a jump of 15.6 percent compared to January 2009.
