While visting Pier 4 the other day I noticed an older style Trolley (without the tracks) travelling around the waterfront. At first I wasn't sure if the trolley was rented out for a wedding or an event or if this was a secret local hamilton attraction. I soon found out that like the various tours that take residents and tourists through the downtown core of Toronto and other major cities across Canada and the United States this trolly was Hamilton's version.
The trolley, for a nominal fee ($5.00 for adults/ $3.00 for children 4-12/ Free for children 3 and under) takes visitors along the 12 kilometers of waterfront trail while giving a narrated commentary of some of Hamilton's history, and less commonly known features.
From June 30th - September 3rd the trolly runs daily starting at 10:30am departing from Scoops Ice Cream Parlour. The train then runs every 45 minutes from that point onward until 7:30 pm.
