There is a big misconception amongst buyers and sellers as to what makes a good Real Estate Sales Representative. I think when selecting an agent people tend to assume that, a Sales Rep. with a lot of signs around, must be a good agent. In reality, it may simply mean that a lot of other people believe the same thing. Sales representatives, have only so many hours in a day. If they spread themselves to thin it is difficult to provide the level of customer service a client deserves. You will see some spend vast amounts of money to drum up more business. What happen when they already have more than they can handle? What happens when they need to generate more new customers to pay for the advertising? Some, create a team of sales associates, whereby you as a client may end up not dealing with the person you chose in the first place and the number of signs you have seen were actually the efforts of the whole team of sales representatives. Don't be fooled into thinking that you will get the best customer service from the so-called " top producer ". You want to find an agent who listens to your needs. Will work diligently to find you the right property. Prepare documents with your interests and protection in mind. Skillfully negotiate you the best possible price. Take the time to assist you every step of the way and simplify the buying or selling process to making your sale or purchase the exciting experience it should be. So when you are looking for someone to represent you, do not look for the agent who is spread to thin and trying to generate as much business as possible, but rather the agent who will provide you with the level of service you deserve.
