As you prepare to sell, put a shine on your homes strengths and downplay it’s weaknesses. Here is today's tip to consider:
- Curb appeal. Cut your grass, sweep and remove all clippings, trim the bushes, dead-head the flowers, pull the weeds, fresh mulch in the flower beds – this maintenance needs to be done on a weekly basis while viewings are going on in your home. A nice seasonal arrangement (urns either side of the front door, a wreath on the door – or both) and a new doormat makes an instant positive first impression. Also consider power-washing siding and walkways and washing the exterior windows. This is your first chance to attract the buyer – a quick drive-by often determines whether someone will bother to make an appointment to view the inside. Always keep your porch lights on in the evenings!
