Can you feel the Carivibe?

Can you feel it? The sounds move through you and make you want to dance. Come and celebrate with thousands of residents and visitors to celebrate the best of caribbean culture with music, dancing, costumes, and food. It’s the 4th annual Carivibe Carnival in our Nation’s capital. Since it’s officially partnered with Hot 89.9  you know that this will be the party to be at. They are calling this year the new and improved festival so it’s going to be exciting to see the fabulous changes they’ve made.

This celebration of caribbean culture has two parts. The first is the Carivibe Road March which takes place at 12:00 noon and follows North Service Road to Petrie Island. This is always tons of fun with many people of all ages turning out to watch the dancers and the floats pass by. Last year even ended with the last float enticing everyone to join in and become part of the parade! It was great fun and the kids enjoyed getting to dance with the crowd.

The next part is the Carivibe Beach Party. This is when all the bands come out and brighten our moods with their uplifting beats, making us feel as if we are on vacation. Lose yourself to the beat and dance near the stage, or sit and enjoy from the licensed tent. While enjoying the sounds take a break and enjoy the food and beverages. Tickets are $12.00 per person and kids under 12 are free. Click here for more information on tickets and where you can buy them.

Ottawa is such a wonderful multicultural town. There are people from all over the earth that move and make their homes here in the Nation’s Capital. Come out and celebrate with us to see why!
