Happy Earth Day Fellow Recyclers!

Happy Earth Day!

I am sending this information out on behalf of Stittsville Public School . Just in time for spring cleaning, and in celebration of Earth Day, the Stittsville Public School Council will be holding an electronics recycling depot. Commercial and household equipment will be accepted.

When: Saturday April 27th from 8:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.

Where: Stittsville Public School parking lot (40 Granite Ridge Drive)

What Will Be Accepted: Televisions, monitors, desktop or laptop computers, tablets, peripherals (mice, keyboards, etc.), printers, photocopiers, telephones, answering machines, and cell phones, home theatre equipment (speakers, turntables, etc.), photo, audio and video equipment.

Like tin cans, old electronics should never end up in the garbage. Much of the plastic and metal can be reclaimed and re-used. As well, many older electronics also contain substances of concern that, if not handled properly, could have negative environmental impacts.

For every ton of old electronics collected, school council will receive funds from Ontario Electronics Stewardship (OES) which will directly support the school. There is no cost to drop off your electronics. Please share this information with your friends, family and neighbours!
