Anders On The Lake, Red Deer, AB, Canada

Neighbourhood Information
Anders On The Lake

Anders is one of those Red Deer subdivisions that has evolved over decades.  First there was Anders or Anders Village in the mid to late 70's.  Then not much happened until the late 80's early 90's with the start of Anders Victoria Park, followed by Anders Aspen Ridge and Anders on the Lake in the 2000's.

On The Lake is a man made lake created by the developer with walking paths around the lake connected to many of the other trails and parks.  Anders on The Lake quickly became one of Red Deer's "high end" or "luxury" neighbourhoods.  What is interesting is the use of a fountain by the developer.  Probably not a feature the City would approve again due to annual maintenance and operating costs.

There are some impressive homes with interesting architecture, finishing and features.  many of them backing on the lake and many of them designed for Empty Nester's.

Anders on the Lake is located in the second most southerly subdivision and can be found by 22nd Street and 40th Ave.  It is an area characterized by well built homes and maintains a desirable destination for many home buyers.

Why Red Deer? Why not Red Deer! Perfect location and delivers on that warm feeling of community despite its size. Sitting between Calgary and Edmonton, Red Deer is a quick trip to either city. And the mountains? Hop in the car and you can be hitting the slopes in a few hours. Beautiful…did we mention beautiful? Red Deer has an AMAZING park system, bike paths, walking trails and green ...

Market Reports and Conditions

Posted by Patrick Galesloot on 06/12/2011
2011 has been a transition year for sure.  Coming off of string buyer market conditions we are beginning to see signs of balanced market conditions.  However we're not fully there yet.  Not all price ranges are displaying the same market conditions and regionally the hyper local real estate markets are vastly different.  For now ...

November 2011 is seasonally a slower month.  Typically residential MLS sales volume for Red Deer declines as we get closer to Christmas.  Majority of people seem to be content with being settled for Christmas.  However sales occur daily and monthly through out the year and November is no exception. November 2011 Red Deer residential MLS sales sales volume was 11.5% higher than the ...

End of September heralds in the fall market, and the closing of the third quarter for MLS® statistics.  Here in Red Deer residential sales have been positive for year over year growth and the supply side, namely listings, has decreased year over year.  When we started 2011 our expectations were for modest growth and a trend to a balanced market.  With the economic conditions in Alberta ...

Parks & Recreation

When it comes to finding spaces to get outdoors and be healthy Red Deer has a lot to offer.  Red Deer boasts an extensive trail system that winds its way through out Red Deer, its parks and of course the serene and scenic river valley.  You could run down the sidewalk or take your bicycle to the streets but with trails leading north, south east and west you can take a more quieter and scenic ...

Superbowl commercials always garner a lot of attention.  This year capping off the 40th anniversary as a franchise real estate company Century 21 will be airing a Superbowl commercial.  Being a Century 21 Broker/Owner I must say it's pretty cool.  Talk about exposure for our brand which in turn creates added exposure for our clients. The Superbowl Commercial:  The Teasers: ...
