You probably know that there is more to selling a home that putting a "FOR SALE" sign in the yard and a few pictures and postings in the Winnipeg Free press. If you think this is the way to achieve the most money for your home… let me run through a few quick ways of how I have success in reaching “top dollar” for my clients when selling their home.
Select the right REALTOR®- You need a knowledgeable, trustworthy expert who will guide you through the process. One that will have a set plan in place and will take care of all the details. They will help sell your home quickly and for the best price.
Preparation - You need to ensure that your home is ready to show, by cleaning and de-cluttering. It’s also important that you take care of any needed repairs and even minor repairs such as wall dents. You may need to consider a home improvement, such as replacing old worn carpet or repainting a few rooms.
Listing price- You need to select a listing price at or near the fair market value of your property. I will be able to help you determine the best list price for the current market.
Promotion - How will buyers find your home is being sold? Will they see it on Realtor.ca®, or will they come across it in an ad in the newspaper? An effective promotion plan is critical.
Dealing with offers – When you receive an offer, not always will the best offer be the highest one. An offer can fall through for many reasons, so dealing effectively with offers is, perhaps, the most important part of selling your home.
The transaction – Once the sale is complete, you want to know that you have the right professionals in place, such as lawyers, movers, etc… to make sure all of the after sale details are taken care of properly. Getting the right people on the bus.
