Renovations That Sell

Thinking of buying a home to renovate and sell?  Not sure about what to do to sell for top dollar?

Potential home buyers are searching for properties that are "move-in-ready" condition so they don't have to add on the extra costs, for when they move in.

Kitchens- The "heart of the home".-

Buyers prefer-spaciousness,functionality, clutter-free and storage space in their kitchen.  New cabinets, counter tops, flooring and good condition appliances.  Natural and neutral colors through out and easy to maintain.

Bathrooms-

Bathrooms should not only look new, neat and clean, but should also look sharp. Buyers are looking for that "spa-like" feeling that is soothing and relaxing.   May require replacement of all existing finishes and fixtures.

Floors and Walls-

Walking into any room, floors and walls are the first things potential buyers will see.

Flooring should create a good flow from one room to the next and tie in with other elements such as cabinetry, wall colors and baseboards.

Walls should be smooth and painted in a neutral color to enhance a calm, relaxing feeling.  A light and warm neutral color, usually works best to enlarge the look of a space.

Having a job done well is a value added, doing it poorly may reduce the value of the home, you are trying to sell.
