Getting Your House Ready To Sell - Part 2 - De-clutter!
Chances are you have lived in your house for a few years, and over these few years you have accumulated more stuff than when you moved in. Now that you have made the decision to sell your house it's time to de-clutter and organize.
Pack up anything you don't use on a regular basis and put it away in storage. Make sure you label the boxes with the contents in case you need anything it's easy to find.
Organize your cupboards and closets. Even organize your storage space. A tidy closet that is not so full looks bigger than it does when it is packed with clothes. If you don't have enough space to store everything you may want to consider renting a storage unit.
If you have a room full of heavy furniture maybe consider putting a few things into that storage unit you rented. Heavy furniture, or even having too many pieces in a room can easily make the room feel small and cramped.
Why would you do all this? Would you be attracted to a house that is crowded with furniture?
If you de-clutter and organize a potential buyer will guaranteed be more attracted to the house than if it wasn't.
