In business, as in life, if you keep repeating the same things you will continue to get the same results. Or as Einstein is credited as saying “Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again but expecting different results”

At today’s sales meeting we asked each agent to write down (anonymously), in three words or less, what they do that gives them the best results in their business. On a separate paper, each agent wrote down what they do or don’t do that losses business for them or is the most negative impact on their business.

The point is if we want to change our results, i.e. improve our business, we must change the way we approach our business. Retain all the positive things you do. Accentuate the positive.

Get rid of the negative things or poor habits that are affecting your business.

Results from our discussion this morning:

 

The GOOD   (THINGS THAT AGENTS SAY ARE BEST FOR THEIR BUSINESS)

OPEN HOUSES, DUTY TIME, DOOR KNOCKING,CALLING PAST CLIENTS,PROSPECTING,RETURNING CALLS, ADVERTISING, FOLLOW UP,LISTENING,GETTING BACK TO PEOPLE,BUSINESS GROUPS (NETWORKING)

The BAD  (THINGS & HABITS THAT AGENTS SAY COST/LOSE THEM BUSINESS)

PROCRASTINATING, LOSING INTEREST IN SOME CLIENTS, NOT FOLLOWING UP, IGNORING PEOPLE, WORKING FEW HOURS, LACK OF SELF-PROMOTION, POORLY PRICING PROPERTIES

The UGLY

Not making the changes that YOU KNOW you have to make to improve your business.

This applies only if you want to change.
