Coming up this weekend and with very comfortable temperatures in the air, this should be a great time for getting out and enjoying some great artwork and of course the slide which is fun for young and old!
11th Annual Ice On Whyte Festival Takes Place January 24 – February 2, 2014 at End of Steel Park.
The International Ice Carving Competition kicks off the festival as 10 teams of artists from around the world create amazing ice carvings. The ice carvings remain on exhibit for the duration of the festival. Enjoy the outdoor play on the giant ice slide and in the interactive kids zone. The evenings are filled with live music presented by Alberta musicians. There will be food, hot beverages, fashion, L'il Chipper ice carving lessons, crafts, cultural exhibits and much more.
If you've never been, you'll be in for a treat and if you're coming back again then of course you know how much fun it is.
Of course the site is only minutes from Whyte Ave, so you can also wander along and enjoy the ambience of one of Edmopnton's most enjoyable locations.
