A list of the 100 most expensive properties in the Okanagan has been released and 74 of them are in Kelowna, with the most valuable property nearing $11 million.
The top valued property is a waterfront acreage in the south Mission area of Kelowna at 180 Swick Rd., it's value? $10,828,000.
Second place goes to a single family residence at 4358 Hobson Rd., valued at $8,484,000 and third is another waterfront acreage at 18250 Juniper Cove Rd. in Lake Country, which is valued at $6,727,000.
West Kelowna is home to 14 of the most valuable properties in the Okanagan. The most valuable property there is worth just over $6 million and the 14th most valuable is worth $3.6 million.
Only two of the most valuable properties in the Okanagan are in the South; both are waterfront lots in Summerland.
The 100th most valuable property is a single family residence on the waterfront in Kelowna at 3588 Lakeshore Rd. It's valued at $3.6 million.
The BC assessment rolls saw property values increase in almost all jurisdictions. In 2014, the Central Okanagan added more than $1 billion in property value through rezoning, construction and renovation.
