Putting the "Real" in Real Estate!
Buying or selling a home is something most people do only a few times in their lives. Knowing what an emotional time this can be, my goal as an agent is to make the transaction go as smoothly as possible for you.
Whether you are selling the family home or getting into the market for the first time, I will listen to what you want, and make your priorities my own. I also won't hesitate to tell you if I think your expectations are unreasonable. I call it putting the “real” in real estate.
I work closely with fellow Century 21 Vision agent Mary Lamey, who is well known for her real estate columns in the Gazette and her popular MontReal Estate blog. As a team, we offer extensive knowledge of the Montreal market, strong communication and negotiation skills, as well as an innovative approach to advertising.
When we list a house, we like to think we go the extra mile for our clients. We advise sellers on how to get their homes ready to show, and we've even been known to haul stuff to the dump or the friperie in our own cars. We pay for a professional photographer to take great pictures of our listings, and usually while she's working we're there re-arranging furniture and clearing surfaces to make sure the house looks its best. Once the listing is up on MLS, Mary and I do all our own visits. We never expect homeowners to show their own houses.
We also enjoy working with buyers: seeing them fall in love with a house and then making sure they get it. Seller or buyer, with me as your agent, you can be sure I will see you through every step of the process right up to the signing at the notary.
I am a Montrealer, born and bred, with friends and contacts all over the island and beyond. I grew up in the West Island, and as an adult have lived in neighbourhoods as diverse as the Plateau, NDG and Verdun. I find myself working with clients in areas as different as Little Italy and Lachine, Pointe Claire and Point St-Charles. Exploring up-and-coming neighbourhoods with clients, I feel I am playing a small role in the evolution of this wonderful city.
Me and my clients
I got my real estate license from the College Immobilier on Nun's Island. Formerly an arts journalist, I still enjoy working with artists, only now instead of writing about them I am helping them make their home ownership dreams a reality. Visual artists, actors, writers, musicians -- I've worked with them all. But even if your only link to the arts is an occasional trip to the movies, with this agent, you can expect star treatment.
