EASTER SEALS DROP ZONE
Easter Seals is committed to enhancing the quality of life for families living with disabilities. As Canada’s largest local provider of programs, services, issues-leadership and development for the disability community, Easter Seals is dedicated to helping more than 100,000 Canadians with disabilities participate fully in society.
For over 30 years, CENTURY 21 Real Estate Professionals have been supporting children living with disability across Canada. In February 2010, CENTURY 21 Real Estate LLC, announced that they surpassed $100 million dollars in funds raised since 1979. As the world's largest residential real estate sales franchise, CENTURY 21 has become the biggest all-time corporate contributor to this charitable organization.
In 2008, CENTURY 21 Canada President, Don Lawby, launched the CENTURY 21 KIDS TO CAMP fundraising initiative. The program aims to send children to one of the 16 fully accessible summer camps run by Easter Seals across the country. In the first two years of the program, thanks to participation in events like The Drop Zone, 24 Hour Relay and community events of their own design, CENTURY 21 offices from across the country have been able to send over 500 children to summer camp.
On September 20, 2012, myself, along with my CENTURY 21 colleagues, challenged our fear of heights by rappelling down a highrise building in Montreal! I raised $1580 to send a disabled child to summer camp. In total, Montreal rappellers raised $125,000!!!
