September 2010: The Real Estate Market in Kings County and Annapolis Valley, Nova Scotia
The September 2010 MLS® statistics are out for the Annapolis Valley Real Estate Board of Nova Scotia. We compared the following numbers for Single Family Homes with the statistics from September 2009:
- The number of new listings of single family homes was up 9%
- The number of single family homes sold was down 30%
- The number of active listing as of the end of the month was up 19%
The price range with the greatest number of residential units sold was $150,000 to $249,999.
When considering the single family properties in Kings County only, the September 2010 numbers compared to September of 2009 show the following:
- The number of new listings of single family properites was up 27%
- The number of single family properties sold was down 7%
- The average days on market for single properties sold was 118 day, 8 days longer than in 2009
- The number of active listing as of the end of the month was up 8%
