Tip of the Month, brought to you by Canadian Residential Inspection Services: Check your GFCI receptacles
Now recommended in all wet areas within 1.5 meters or 5 feet of .....bathroom, kitchen, laundry tub, hot or Jacuzzi tubs and outside plugs.
Initial checks for proper circuitry then periodically (most manufacturers suggest monthly) test the GFCI by pushing the test button and then the reset button.
If not working properly consult a licensed electrician and have them replaced.
