The Thorndale Community Centre is the hub to a lot of ongoing action throughout the year. Women's and Men's Slow pitch, Soccer, Fast Ball, Tennis, Skate Park, The annual Fall Fair, Parades for all occaisions, Weddings, Dances, Concerts...Always something going on in this wonderful little place.
As of 2009, Thorndale sports state-of-the-art education at the West Nissouri Public School, located in our newest neighborhood, Trails at Wye Creek. The school offers grades JK - grade 8, has all day/every day JK & Sk programs, and has a before and after school program.
Housing options in Thorndale range from the century homes along the main street and into the back streets, to homes built throughout the 40's to the 80's, to the Montieth Subdivision with more recently built homes, to the new Trails at Wye Creek neighborhood presently in progress. Most of the homes in Thorndale are single detached on spacious lots. You will also find semi detached homes on 150 ft deep lots offering great value.
