Personal Interests

Fishing has long been a passion in my life. I can often be found on the Columbia River or one of the many lakes in our area with a fly rod in my hand. In support of my passion I also tie flies; the collection of materials is a hobby unto itself.

Resently I have a renewed interest in photography. In particular I enjoy photographing old buildings with character.

I have been a life-long resident of the area and can tell you about great fishing spots; I have been to them all! I enjoy the awesome skiing in our area and truly appreciate the seasons. After a lengthy career for a major industry managing their property sales and acquisitions, I began to pursue my major in Appraisal, having an Urban Land Economics Diploma. Joining the Century 21 team in 1999, I strive to provid my clients very knowledgeable and meticulous service.

With an extensive knowledge of the market, I have increased the sales in Salmo and the rural areas, along with properties in town with great success. My dedication to DOING IT RIGHT is well known and respected in the industry.

Personal Background

I am a life-long resident of the Greater Trail area; born in Trail and raised in the small Village of Montrose nearby. A of my public schooling was local. As an adult I raised my now adult son and daughter in the Village of Fruitvale. My son is now an auto mechanic living in Chilliwack, BC and my daughter a Registered Massage Theropist with her own business in Oliver, BC.

I continue to live in Fruitvale enjoying the all the opportunities the beautiful area has to offer.

 

Professional Background

From 1970 to 1998 I was employed by Cominco Ltd. (now TECK). The first seven years were spent in various accounting position within the Corporate Controller's office. In 1978 I moved to the Lands Department as a property taxation and lands analyst. In 1984 I was promoted to manage the Lands and Property Taxation department. Between 1984 and 1998 my responsibilities were regularly increased to include management of operations support crews and corporate responsibilities. In March of 1998 I left Cominco Ltd. to pursue my interests in a non-corporate environment.

Beginning in 1985 I ran my own part-time business Blue Moon Real Estate Services specializing in real estate appraisals, property management, and property assessment and taxation consulting. After leaving Cominco Ltd. in 1998 I ran my business on a full time basis for a number of years.

In 2000 I joined the staff at Century21 Kootenay Homes as an Associate Broker and Sales Representative. Since 2006 I have acted as the Office Manager while continuing to work as a Sales Representative.

My professional interest include constantly working to improve my real estate skills through attendance at seminars, courses, and through research.
