The Central Okanagan Market Continues Its Strong Pace
Central Okanagan statistics are in for December.
Total residential unit sales for the month increased by 20% from December 2006, with single family homes increasing by 8.5%. The largest increases were in apartment style condos with an increase of 27% from last year. Average prices for single family homes increased by 16.69% from the previous yeear, to $497,321 while median prices increased by 22.66% to $465,500.
Total residential real estate sales for 2007 increased by 16.6% to 5584 units while single family sales increased by 14% to 2845 units, both record levels for the Central Okanagan. The average and median house prices both increased approximately 18.5% year over year.
Activity has continued at a strong pace through the first two months of 2008.
