Upper Mission Development Plans

Kelowna, BC - November 28, 2012 - Many clients and neighbors have been asking me what is planned for the area that is being cleared at the corner of Gordon Drive and Frost Road......the process of clearing the land is well under way.  New roads have commenced and sidewalks and a main road from Phase 2 of The Ponds has been completed and is already in use.  The Callahan Property Group is developing the land for retail use and also for some medium density and single family homes.  By March of 2013, the first ground will be broken to begin construction of the retail space with some stores expected to be open by late 2013 or early 2014.  Although no tenant information has been released as of yet, expect a large national grocer of some sort to be part of the mix.  From what I could tell from the renderings expect several dozen specialty retail shops and services as well.  LONG OVERDUE FOR OUR COMMUNITY I MUST SAY.  By the time the residential housing portion of the phase is complete, expect about 1200 new homes of which about 800 will be single family and the balance medium density - multi family.
