Heritage Property For Sale

This is the YWCA property located in downtown Moncton.  Built as a single family home in 1905, by the Peters family, it was purchased in 1920 by the YWCA.  Mr. Peters owned a lock company and this place is full of custom made door knobs, hinges, and striker plates.  The workmanship in the building is amazing.

This is a shot of the foyer and stairway to the second floor.  The craftmenship in this staircase is really more artistry than carpentry.  If you have ever had the opportunity to see the library at the Parliament Buildings in Ottawa, the workmanship in similar in detail.  You couldn't get work like this done today.

The YWCA Board of Directors came to the painful decision a few months a go that they needed to sell their home of 90 years to find something more functional and better suited to their current needs.

I was pleased to be contacted to market this property.  It is a pleasure to show off and lends itself to upscale office space or maybe even condos.  There is approximately 8000 square feet of space on three floors plus the basement.  The added feature for this property is the second lot which contains approximately 16 parking spaces.  parking is a bit snug in this particular park of the City so the extra parking makes this building even more special.

This is one of the many original stained glass windows situated on the main floor.  The architectural features in this property go on and on.  It's easy to see why it is a designated Heritage Property  in the City.  You can see more pictures here on my website by going to the listing area or checking it out on the Commercial MLS site.
