When the Toronto Premium Outlets opened, I was ecstatic!! At first I didn't want to go with the traffic that it created, but my parents wanted to go. The drive out to Halton Hills wasn't as bad especially when I don't drive out that way very often. The traffic on the off ramp was horrible!! I finally got off the ramp and didn't even attempt to park in the parking lot. I parked in an open field across from the outlet. It wasn't that bad actually. I avoided the traffic and wasting time looking for a parking spot.
I'm finally at the outlets now and ready to shop!! My parents and I set a time to meet up and we went our separate ways. I expected it to be like the Premium Outlets in the U.S., but I walked around the whole outlet within 1.5 hour and was not impressed. I may have gone with high expectations, but who wouldn't since it's the first Premium Outlet in Ontario?! I expected the deals to be better and not the same as what I can get at any malls closer to home. I drove out there to come home with something, but instead I sat on a bench waiting for my parents, speaking to a client and helping her find a condo.
My overall experience was not what I expected. For someone who LOVES to shop, I would have expected better deals. I don't think I would drive all that way unless I have absolutely nothing to do and it's during the Summer only or they start having better deals. All and all, it's nice because you don't feel like you're in Ontario, but unless they start having better deals, I rather stay close to home and just go to Yorkdale.
