In early January 2014, we drove thru the cool night to visit Canad Inns Winter Wonderland. It turned out to be one of the highlights of this year's festive season. This is Manitoba’s largest drive-thru light show, which provides a brilliant presentation of over one million lights in 26 different theme areas. Along the 2.5 km route, you could stop at the small food kiosk, outdoor skating rink or take the free horse sleigh ride (open on weekends). During our drive, we saw a lot happy families with kids taking tons of pictures and enjoying the show. Some of our pictures you can find in this blog.
The only drawback was we did not tune our car radio to the Park’s Christmas station to listen to the Christmas carols and other festive music. We were not advised on this at the gate and found out about such possibility on the Net later.
All in all, we had a great time at the show. Importantly, Canad Inns Winter Wonderland supports two programs in Manitoba - KidSport Manitoba and the Riverview Health Centre. Next year, we will definitely drive again to this Winter Wonderland, but this time we will tune our car radio to the Park’s Christmas station.
