The Niagara region is renowned for the top quality wine and ice wine it produces, and if you are a vino aficionado there is still time to catch the final weekend of the famous Niagara Wine Festival!
This year the Festival has been taking place since September 10th, but it will still be in full swing this Friday, Saturday, and Sunday (Sept. 23-25). Bring the whole family and head over to Montebello Park in St. Catharines to experience delicious wine tastings, sample regional cuisine by some of the top chefs in Niagara, meet local grape growers and winemakers, and enjoy fantastic live shows.
Don't miss the 65th annual Meridian Grande Parade, which begins at 11am this Saturday, September 24, in downtown St. Catharines. This year's parade theme is "Homegrown Niagara" and more than 70,000 spectators are expected to attend what is considered to be one of North America's foremost street parades. You'll have the chance to see floats, marching bands, drum corps, majorettes, community groups, and more great live performances!
You can also help a good cause by donating to the Community Care Annual Harvest Drive, which will be collecting food items during the Grande Parade to help fill the shelves at our local food bank.
Fall is an exciting time here in Niagara, so why not savour all the local flavours?
