Hunting, fishing, guiding and volunteerism make up Betty's life.

She is acttively involved as a Director of the Atlantic Salmon Museum, Miramichi Salmon Association, Atlantic salmon Association, former director of the Fredericton Chamber of Commerce, Licensed guide under the New Brunswick Department of Natural Resources, certified instructor of both the Hunter Education progam and Gun Safety Program, licensed trapper,charter member of the Sunrise Rotary Club, member of St. Anne's Point Chapter, IODE to name a few and can often be seen as a volunteer for charity events gliding down the ramp in a fashion show every inch the lady!
