Did you know whether a seller must disclose if there was a death in the home?

The answer is, "Maybe". The law states that a seller and their agent must disclose Material Latent Defects. A death in the home with no unusual circumstances is not considered a material latent defect. If the death was caused by a murder or suicide or there were some other strange circumstances then it must be disclosed. However, a good Realtor follows a blanket rule when it comes to disclosures. "When in doubt, disclose".
