I joined 23 CENTURY 21 Miller associates for the BigBike Ride on Saturday to raise funds for the Heart and Stroke Foundation. We had lots of fun riding through busy downtown Oakville at lunch time with sidewalks full of shoppers all waving to us in support and a police escort up in front stopping all traffic at intersections. It was great getting so many of our Realtors out, especially on a Saturday which is a very busy day for home showings and open houses. As soon as the ride ended they were on their smart phones setting up appointments. We even had one salesperson receive a text message while she was riding from one of her vendors who was having lunch downtown and saw her ride by and who jokingly asked her why she was riding a bike instead of selling their home! I am sure that seller knows that Daniella Aitken is more than capable of multi-tasking!
Later on Saturday night, I went to another salesperson's home for a Bon Voyage party, as they called it. They had a huge tent set up in the back yard, and a dance floor and DJ, and a bar etc. The invite was to come and celebrate with him and his fiancee before they took off to Jamaica for a destination wedding. The big surprise when we arrived was finding out that they had been married that afternoon with just immediate family present! So we had a great time and celebrated with them before they took off for the honeymoon. When I had the pleasure of meeting the bride for the first time last September at the CENTURY 21 Ottawa convention, she told me that they were both looking forward to this year's upcoming convention in Vancouver. Congratulations and best wishes to Catrina and Brad Stevenett !
