Why I like handing out awards

This week I really enjoyed the portion of our sales meeting where we gave out the sales awards. It's interesting to see the smiles and hear all the comments as sales representatives receive their due in front of their peers. There was hand shaking, cheers from everyone, and pictures taken as I handed each person their award.  It was interesting as we announced who was on track to receive an award for the year 2009. This list also included many of our newer salespeople who are into their second year with our company. I constantly hear the comment from many of these folks that "it is with no doubt I am able to acheive this level of production this early in my career because of the intensity of training and continuing education that is available here in this office". It warms my heart hearing this because I know how much effort the management and administrative staff put into trying to make every sales person successful, and in so doing, delivers quality service to all our customers.
