When I started in real estate I was a buyer's rep...which is to say I worked exclusively with people looking to buy homes. I have toured so many homes...from Barrie to Orillia to Midland/Penetanguishene, down to Shelburne, over to Angus, touring Innisfil....
The thing I noticed the most, the thing that stands out in my mind from a buyer's prospective, is the cleanliness of the home we are touring, the staging of the property. It shows to the prospective purchasers the level of commitment the seller's have.
There are lot's of extremely good home stagers and by investing in this service I have found buyer's to be much more receptive to the property and they see the value in the property. We are visual creatures and the first impression sticks.
Some buyer's find the unattractive property very appealing, however they discount the price they will pay right off the bat. As seller's list their homes I urge that they take the time to spruce up their property, invest in a home stager, clean up the property, inside and out.
It will be money in the bank!
