Barrie events for November.

Well, I’m sure we are all getting tired at this point of raking up the leaves and preparing our houses for the inevitable howling winds and blowing snow that is winter. There are still a lot of things in and around Barrie to get out of your house and take in.

Lets start with the Barrie Colts! A great young team who have started to turn the bad start they had to open up the season into what could be a very promising year.

The weekend that just passed played host to a number of shows in and around the region including the 19th Annual Barrie Molson Centre Xmas Craft Show and Purple Petal Productions Fall Wedding Extravaganza. Both of which were a huge success.

Im sure it goes without having to be said, that on November 11th we all take the time to honor and remember all those who have served our country and sacrificed so much for our freedom and lives that we enjoy today. The City of Barrie puts on a Remembrance Day Parade, participants form up at 10:15 am on Dunlop St E between Poyntz St and Mulcaster St and depart for the Cenotaph at Memorial Square at 10:30 am * Service starts at 10:45 am, with two minutes of silence at 11 am * held on the 11th day of the 11th month, marks the time and date of the signing of the First World War armistice in 1918.
